Privacy and cookie policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

This page describes how the personal data of users visiting gugolos.it is processed, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Privacy Code) and the Italian Data Protection Authority’s guidelines on cookies.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Daniele Fratini – DF-Tech, who can be contacted at iron9001@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

  • Browsing data: the computer systems that run the site collect, during normal operation, some technical data (for example IP address, browser type, date and time of the request). This is used only to ensure the site works properly and securely.
  • Comments: if you leave a comment, your name, email address and the text you enter are collected, together with your IP address, to manage publication and prevent spam.
  • Data provided voluntarily: if you email the controller, your address and the information in your message are used only to reply.

3. Purposes and legal basis

Data is processed to allow browsing and the publication of content, to manage comments, to reply to requests and to keep the site secure. The legal basis is the controller’s legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR) and, for comments and requests, the performance of what the user has requested (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).

4. Cookies used

A cookie is a small text file that the site saves in your browser. This site uses only technical cookies, which are necessary for it to work and do not require consent:

  • WordPress session cookies, used only by administrators who log in to the private area;
  • comment cookies, which remember your name and email if you choose to save them;
  • a preference saved in your browser that remembers your choice on the cookie banner.

The site does not use profiling, advertising or third-party analytics cookies. If they are introduced in the future, this page will be updated and their use will depend on your consent through the banner.

You can also manage or delete cookies from your browser settings. Disabling technical cookies may prevent some parts of the site from working properly. You can change your choice on the banner at any time with the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page.

5. Content from other sites

Recipe photos come from Wikimedia Commons and are hosted directly on this site, with the author and licence indicated. Any content embedded from other sites in the future (for example videos) will behave as if you were visiting those sites, which may collect data according to their own policies.

6. Recipients and retention

Data is processed by the controller and by the hosting provider, which acts as data processor. It is not disclosed or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes. Browsing data is kept for the time strictly necessary for site security; comments remain published until you ask for them to be removed.

7. Your rights

At any time you can ask the controller for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you can object to processing (Arts. 15-22 GDPR), by writing to the address given in section 1. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).

8. Changes

This policy may be updated over time. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
